Film Professional

I believe art has the power to reflect society and inspire us to become the best versions of ourselves. Every film or project I create carries a social justice message at its core. I'm passionate about fostering mentorship on all my sets, and I make it a priority to elevate voices from underrepresented communities.

As a seasoned film professional, I’ve worked in a multitude of positions both on and off set, giving me a comprehensive understanding of how the industry works. I currently work primarily as a 1st Assistant Director on feature films, running crews of 100+ people on any given day. My success in this high-pressure role hinges on a combination of organizational prowess, strategic foresight, and strong leadership. (Did I mention I love spreadsheets?)

Cancer Survivor

As a cancer survivor, diagnosed at age 30 with Stage 3b colorectal cancer, I know how deeply a medical emergency can affect your life, especially as a young adult. Finances, Friendships, Job Opportunities, Physical and Mental Abilities can be compromised or lost completely as you battle for your health. I am dedicated to supporting those in the cancer community any way I can, whether it’s speaking to build awareness or sitting with someone as they receive chemotherapy.

Mother

Being a mother is one of my proudest achievements. I have two daughters that I am raising to be strong, authentic people with their own unique voices. Motherhood stoked a fire in me that I didn’t know was there. I am determined to make this world a better place for the next generation, which means protecting our planet, deconstructing damaging systems, and continuing the ongoing fight for equity.

Advocate

As a Queer, Neurodivergent woman, I know what it is like to be marginalized. Fortunately, I’m rather resilient and tenacious… and maybe a little scrappy. I have the spirit of a fighter and a strong sense of justice that propels me to stand up for those in my communities and others who find themselves pushed to the side.

As a board member with the Gender Equity in Media Society (GEMS, formerly Women in Film and TV Vancouver), I bring this fire as the Secretary of the Board and the chair of the Advocacy Committee. We tirelessly and audaciously fight for equity in the film industry for not just women, but all marginalized groups.
